Wage Wizard 2.0 – a new version of the IT salary assistant
What exactly is Wage Wizard 2.0?
Wage Wizard is a free assistant that easily helps determine the level of salaries in the IT industry.
It works based on data from payroll reports, analyzes them and returns specific ranges for selected roles and technologies.
It's a quick and convenient way to:
- 📈 Check how much you should earn
- 🧩 Verifying what ranges are worth offering in a job offer
- 🎯 Better preparation for a job interview or negotiation
How it works
- You fill out a short form
- Immediately after submitting the form, you will receive access to the bot – the link will appear on the website and will also be sent to your email inbox.
- Enter the role name and seniority – this is enough for the bot to match the data.
- You get specifics – salary ranges based on current salary reports from the IT market.
Fragment of an example bot response:
What has changed compared to Forkbot 1.0?
- New report - IT Salary and Trends Report 2025 : created and published by Grafton.
- New possibilities:
- comparing technologies (e.g. Java vs Python),
- more detailed queries (e.g. query about cities).
- Expert commentary based on reports.
- Sources are listed each time along with a link (previously the link did not always appear).
- Greater structuring of responses.
- New GPT model - 5.0.
All these changes would make A/B testing a nightmare 😅. However, in my opinion, breaking the "one small change at a time" rule was worth it – thanks to them, Widebot 2.0 is now much more precise and predictable in its responses. Plus, it's impossible to ignore the additional report from Grafton. Thanks to it, Widebot 2.0 has gained even more value.
Final Word
No AI bot or assistant built on the GenAI platform can replace industry reports. They are written by specialists in the field, and their comments and work are invaluable. Therefore, I encourage you to download and read the reports I used to build this assistant – they provide a wealth of information on current trends in the IT market that cannot be contained within a single GenAI response. The reports provide information not only on salaries but also preferences, benefits, and demand for specific technologies.
Please remember that reusing materials created by others always requires permission from the authors, especially when working with GenAI.
Finally, I recommend that you read these sources:
We also thank the authors of the reports for the opportunity to use them!
